  1. Hi all Raytracing freaks !

  3. This is a special version of PoV-Ray for the A4000. It has a few 040
  4. optimizations in it so that it's slightly faster than the normal
  5. 881-Version.
  6.  
  7. New Features:
  8.  
  9.   - 68040 optimized
  10.   - Uses RegisterArguments for functioncalls
  11.   - about 10% faster than the 881-version
  12.   - complete new Displayroutines !!!
  13.       - Uses SetAPen() and WritePixel() ( no more Bitmap-poking)
  14.       - New Displayoption +d8. This option displays the picture in
  15.         640x512 HAM8 Mode (hope it will work on NTSC-MAchines). A special
  16.         algorythm loads the colour registers the time the picture ist
  17.         rendered. So there are no mor HAM-Errors anymore. Rendering takes
  18.         a little bit more than without any displaying.
  19.       - Bug in displayroutine fixed that makes rubbish on the screen
  20.         if you rendered with +a option.
  21.   - Uses only PAL-Screens (sorry, I hope to change this soon !!)
